How to remove the A/C Switch from the air conditioning panel assembly on 2008 Scion xD?

The first step to remove the air conditioning panel assembly is to take out the instrument cluster finish center panel sub-assembly. The air conditioning panel assembly can be separated through disconnection of 4 clips followed by taking off 3 connectors and one clamp. Separate the defroster damper control cable sub-assembly by unfastening its two claws. The air inlet damper control cable sub-assembly needs disconnection after the disengagement of its 2 claws while the air mix damper control cable sub-assembly requires same disconnect procedure.
