The first step for drive belt removal from the 2AZ-FE engine requires removal of the front fender apron seal on the right-hand side. Application of Special Service Tool: 09249-63010 allows users to loosen the V-ribbed belt tensioner arm when turned clockwise while they remove both the fan and generator V belt. The Special Service Tool along with other tools need to be connected in alignment for proper use. Retract the tensioner through a slow clockwise turning motion that should extend beyond 3 seconds and avoid vigorous force. The tensioner needs to reach full retraction yet additional force usage should be avoided at this point.
