2008 Scion tC Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to remove the power door lock actuator on 2008 Scion tC?
A: The process begins by disconnecting the battery cable at its negative (-) terminal then waiting at least ninety seconds to deactivate Air Bag and seat belt pretentioner components. Start by removing first the assist grip cover LH then continue with the removal of the power window regulator master switch assembly from the driver side. Move forward with removing the door control switch assembly on the passenger side together with the front door trim board sub-assembly, the front door inside handle sub-assembly and the front door service hole cover. The front door frame sub-assembly rear lower and the front door outside handle cover need to be removed afterward. You should finish the installation by taking out the front door lock assembly. The installation procedures reverse the removal steps while providing additional information on specific assembling processes. The installation methods must apply exactly the same way to both LH and RH sides while referring to the standard bolt chart when facing bolts without torque specifications.
