How to remove the blower motor on 2008 Scion tC?

As a first step to remove the blower motor clients should disconnect the negative battery cable before waiting for 90 seconds to avoid Air Bag pretensioners from activating. The first step requires separation of the instrument panel sub-assembly upper by detaching it from the body and frame. The lower part of the instrument panel sub-assembly needs the same removal procedure. Follow proper removal methods to extract the ECM unit after other components have been removed. The air duct must be taken out from the housing assembly. One must disconnect three blower assembly connectors then remove three screws and one bolt before separating the claw to successfully remove the blower as shown in the illustration.
