2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Cruise Control Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the Cruise Control Switch on 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser?
A: A proper servicing of the Cruise Control Main Switch begins with disconnecting the negative battery cable then waiting 90 seconds before Air Bag deployment. The service requires removing the No. 2 lower steering wheel cover first before continuing with the No. 3 lower steering wheel cover then finally exposing the steering pad. Begin the cruise control main switch removal process by disconnecting its connector while removing the two mounting screws. The cruise control main switch installation needs 2 screws to attach it while maintaining a torque strength at 2.4 N.m (24 kgf.cm, 21 in.lbf) and connector reattachment. Insert the steering pad and replace it with the No. 3 and then the No. 2 steering wheel lower covers. End the procedure by installing the cable onto the negative terminal with 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf) torque force while checking the SRS warning light.
