  A: The first step to repair the fuel pressure regulator consists of breaking down its components by using a screwdriver with tape-covered tip to release the 5 snap claws on the fuel suction support No.2 without harming the support structure. First disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector before unlocking the gauge to slide it out. Then take out the fuel pump cushion rubber from the fuel pump. Insert the screwdriver under the 4 snap claws of the fuel suction plate to disconnect it before removing the plate while taking care to avoid breaking the support. Separate the fuel pump harness connector then detach its harness before using force to withdraw the fuel pump from its position in the fuel tank fuel filter. Remove the fuel pump filter from the fuel pump by prying out the clip afterward strip out the fuel pressure regulator from its position in the fuel tank fuel filter and take off its attached O-ring.
