Service and repair work for the radio antenna cord should start with disconnecting the cable from the negative battery post. Use the following procedure to remove the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly (w/ front passenger Air Bag) followed by removing the antenna cord sub-assembly through unclipping the 5 clamps. Service on the radio antenna cord starts with a roof headlining assembly removal before proceeding to take out the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly. The installation process begins with the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly that must be attached with hot glue according to the illustration before moving on to the roof headlining assembly installation. Install the steering wheel assembly then the steering pad after setting the spiral cable and reinstating the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly with the front passenger Air Bag. Return the cable to the negative battery terminal while initiating the system and checking the SRS warning light along with the steering pad.
