How to service the thermostat on 2006 Toyota Sequoia?

In order to service the thermostat, drain the engine coolant first. Unscrew water inlet with housing by taking off the nuts. Then cut out the thermostat and gasket. Install a new gasket on the thermostat, then put it in place, and put the water inlet back on. Install the system, fill it with coolant, test the engine and check leakages.
