2006 Toyota Sequoia Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the fuel pressure regulator on 2006 Toyota Sequoia?
A: The first step to service the fuel pressure regulator involves detaching the vacuum hose from the intake air resonator and removing the fuel return hose from the pressure regulator while using a shop towel to collect any spills underneath. The service starts with removing the two bolts which secure the pressure regulator before pulling it free from its position. After removing the O-ring it should be next. A new O-ring requires adhesion to a petrol substance prior to mounting onto the pressure regulator. The delivery pipe requires the installed pressure regulator which should face in both directions before tightening its two bolts at a torque setting of 7.5 N.m and 76 kgf.cm or 66 in.lbf. The installation ends with reattaching the vacuum hose to the intake air resonator and the fuel return hose to the pressure regulator. Inspection of fuel leaks should follow the installation procedure.
