The first step requires removal of the radiator support opening cover and disconnection of the No. 2 radiator hose. Open the water inlet by first removing the 2 nuts and disconnecting it from the cylinder block before taking out the thermostat with its accompanying gasket. Position a new gasket onto the thermostat before building installation with the jiggle valve elevated and placing it exactly 10 degrees from its designated position. The installation requires attaching the water inlet with its two nuts that should measure 9.0 Nm torque (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.). Finally, reconnect the No. 2 radiator hose. Engine coolant should be added after leak inspection for the radiator support opening cover and No. 1 engine under cover installation.
