How to service the thermostat on 2006 Toyota Prius?

The radiator support cover and engine under covers should be removed to service the thermostat. Drain the coolant, and take out the water inlet and thermostat including the gasket. Install a new gasket on the thermostat making sure it is well oriented. Reconnect water inlet, coolant, examine leaks and replace covers.
