How to service a Wiper Blade on 2006 Scion xB?

Start the rear wiper service by lifting the blade to unhook its claw while being careful with the claw then extract the blade directly from the wiper arm in a leftward vehicle direction without bending the arm. The rear wiper rubber becomes simpler to remove when you pull from the blade stopper end but push the rubber from both ends toward the middle. A gentle pull is required to prevent backing plate distortion and blade claw damage. To install the wiper rubber modify the 2 backing plates to fit wiper rubber and apply them to the correct direction before sliding the wiper rubber from the middle claw position into the end position so it extends from the rear stopper and passes through the front tip claw. Secure the rear wiper blade onto the wiper while maintaining a click sound as the installation criterion.
