  A: The procedure for Transmission Control Cable Assembly (ATM) replacement begins by removing the instrument cluster finish panel assembly center then moving onto the floor carpet covers for center RH and center LH. The battery together with air cleaner assembly need removal alongside Air Cleaner Hose No.1. After removing the nut from the control shaft lever take off the control cable from the lever then remove the clip which detaches the cable from its bracket before removing the clamp. Disconnect the cable end from the rod of the floor shift assembly then remove the 2 nuts and 3 bolts before pulling the control cable from the body. To install the control cable, guide it into the body then fasten it with three bolts with torque at 4.9 Nm (50 kgf-cm, 43 inch lbs.). Fasten the cable end with the irregular surface positioned upwards before installing the two control cable nuts to 11.8 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.) torque values while securing it to the control cable clamp. Secure the control cable along with its nuts to the control shaft lever temporarily and finally connect the control cable and clip to the bracket. Finally, check and adjust the shift lever position during the procedure to reassemble the air cleaner assembly.
