- Q: How to replace the throttle body on 2005 Toyota Camry?A: The first step to replace the throttle body requires draining engine coolant. Remove the combination of air cleaner cap and air cleaner hose. First disconnect the throttle body assembly by disconnecting the throttle control motor and throttle position sensor connector as well as the vacuum hose from the throttle body and both water bypass hoses. Begin by removing four bolts, fuel pipe support, throttle body and afterward you should remove the gasket. Insert a new gasket onto the intake manifold before you install the throttle body together with the fuel pipe support through its 4 bolts while torquing them to 30 N.m.
