    A: The initial step to replace the starter motor involves double-checking the connector connection as well as accessory installation. Start the procedure by unfastening the battery then disassembling the battery tray and the air cleaner components which require removal of the two bolts. Begin by unscrewing the air cleaner inlet assembly bolts which total two in number. First remove the starter connector before unfastening the nut and starter wire then remove the starter assembly through two bolt removal. When installing the starter assembly position it properly while securing it using two bolts which should be torqued to 39 Nm (398 kgf.cm, 29 ft.lbf). Reattach the starter wire followed by the nut while tightening both to 13 Nm (130 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf). Finally, connect the starter connector. The first step is to install the air cleaner bracket with 2 bolts tightened to 12 Nm (122 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf) followed by installing the air cleaner assembly with 5.0 Nm (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) torque and finishing with the air cleaner inlet assembly with its 2 bolts tightened to 7.0 Nm (71 kgf.cm, 62 in.lbf). Install the battery tray then place the battery in position and secure the clamp by installing the bolt and nut which requires 5.5 Nm (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf) torsion followed by terminal wire connection at 3.5 Nm (36 kgf.cm, 31 in.lbf).
