Use Special Service Tool: 09230-01010 (09231-01010, 09231-01030) by adjusting the stopper bolt with the claw assembling to the overhaul handle which ensures B measurement remains between 0.2 to 0.3 mm (0.008 to 0.012 inch) to protect the components. The same tool will uncork the lock plate caulk before a soft-faced hammer strikes the radiator bracket to extract upper and lower tanks and their O-ring. When working on the automatic transmission to remove the oil cooler assembly proceed by unfastening the cooler pipe and releasing two nuts along with two plate washers before taking out both the oil cooler and its two O-rings. Install 2 new O-rings on the surfaces where they will contact. Adhere to Special Service Tool: 09230-01010, 09231-14010 while adjusting the stopper bolt for required dimension B of 8.4 millimeters (0.331 inches). To verify the correct lock plate height (H), measure between 7.40 to 7.80 mm (0.2913 to 0.3071 inch). Possible adjustments must be made if necessary. At the same time, avoid striking the tool against pipes or brackets. To complete the task install a new drain plug O-ring then secure the drain plug before using Special Service Tool: 09230-01010 to check for water leaks through pressure testing.
