2005 Scion tC Speed Sensor Parts Q&A
Q: How to replace the Speed Sensor Front LH on 2005 Scion tC?
A: A replacement of the Speed Sensor Front LH begins with removing the front wheel followed by the front fender liner LH. First disconnect the speed sensor front LH connector and remove its clamp and safely separate the speed sensor from the body through the removal of two bolts. The next step is to take out the bolt securing the speed sensor front without allowing any foreign material to adhere to the sensor tip. Begin by attaching the speed sensor front with a bolt that needs 9.0 Nm torque (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.). Next, use 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.) torque when fastening the 2 bolts (Bolt A and Bolt B) and then return the front fender liner LH and the front wheel with 103 Nm torque (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.). The ABS speed sensor signal needs to be checked as the last step.
