  A: The first step to switch out the Transmission Position Switch/Sensor includes removing both ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY No.1 and ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSY REAR. Fitment of the PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY commences after the PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH CONNECTOR becomes disconnected. The PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY can be removed by first prying off the lock washer then disconnecting the nut and finally extracting the bolt and switch from the assembly. Start by mounting the PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY using the bolt. Apply torque of 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.), then place a lock washer and secure it with a nut that requires a torque of 7 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 inch lbs.). Last, bend the lock washer claws for the proper park/neutral position switch adjustment. Bend the claws on the lock washer before staking the nut to adjust the park/neutral position switch. Connect the PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH CONNECTOR before mounting back both the ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSY REAR and ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY No.1.
