The Fuel Pressure Regulator service starts with pulling the fuel pump assembly from the tank and removing the fuel filter by hand unscrewing it before achieving a torque of 2.0 N.m (20 kgf.cm, 17 in.lbf). The O-ring needs removal from the fuel filter before addition of a light gasoline coating to a new O-ring for installation purposes. Remove the fuel pressure regulator while ensuring you apply 2.0 N.m (20 kgf.cm, 17 in.lbf) torque and then slide it out from the unit. Also replace the O-ring from the pressure regulator and coat a new O-ring with a gasoline light solution before installing it. The procedure of installation follows the opposite sequence of unmounting steps.
