How to Replace the ABS Control Module on 2002 Toyota Highlander?

The replacement process for the ABS Control Module starts by uninstalling the instrument panel finish panel sub-assy lower along with the instrument panel insert sub-assy lower left-hand side. The skid control buzzer connector needs disconnecting so the assembly (containing VSC) can be taken out. Uninstall the skid control ECU assembly when you disconnect its connectors and detach it from the body with two nuts and remove it completely. During installation replace the ECU to the body after you reattach its connectors while tightening the two secure nuts to achieve 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 inch lbs.) torque. Position the skid control buzzer assembly (with VSC) into its place before connecting its connector back. Begin with placing the instrument panel insert sub-assy lower left-hand side into position followed by the instrument panel finish panel sub-assy lower. Complete the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration with VSC in addition to the deceleration sensor zero point calibration using VSC and verify the VSC sensor signal via VSC.
