A starter motor service requires first removing the battery together with its tray. Succeeding in disassembly of the actuator and bracket requires disconnecting its connector and clamp while removing 3 mounting bolts. Unplug the starter connector before removing two screws as well as the throttle wire clamp (A/T) to extract the starter. The completion of starter motor repair requires disconnecting the starter cable followed by reinstalling the nut where a torque of 37 N.m (380 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf) must be applied. The order of reassembly needs to be the opposite of the disassembly steps.
