Before starting test the power source battery through the Special Service Tool by placing the red clip on the positive terminal and the black clip on the negative terminal and abstaining from using the yellow connector. Complete the procedure by disconnecting the tool after verifying its functionality and proceed by removing the column lower cover along with disconnecting the spiral cable Air Bag connector and finally attaching the Special Service Tool to the connector before moving it more than 10 m (33 ft) from the vehicle. Press the activation switch only after closing all vehicle entrances while keeping the tool connected to the battery power source. Wait for any human presence to move beyond 10 m (33 ft) from the vehicle.
