Drilling a 2.0 - 3.0 mm (0.079 - 0.118 in.) hole at the bottom of the back door will enable high-pressure gas release before disposal but users must exercise caution since drilling could cause chips to emerge. Cautiously handle the back door stay while avoiding damaging its exposed piston rod with any scratching and keeping it away from paint or oil contact because turning the piston rod while the stay is fully extended is not permitted. After attaching two bolts to secure the new back door stay onto the body at 8.3 N.m torque force we should tighten the panel's bolt at 26 N.m.
