2000 Toyota Celica A/C Accumulator Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the A/C Accumulator on 2000 Toyota Celica?
A: The first step to replace the dryer from the modulator starts by removing the modulator cap with a hexagon wrench (10 mm, 0.39 in.) followed by removing the filter. Through the use of pliers remove the dryer from the modulator and put in a new one following proper vinyl bag protocol while the 2 layered part remains at the top position. Install the filter into the modulator so that its protruding section should rest in the downward position. Follow these steps for cap installation of the modulator by applying ND-OIL 8 or equivalent oil first to the O-rings and screw section followed by hexagon wrench (10 mm, 0.39 in.) use to tighten caps with a required torque of 12.3 Nm (125 kg.cm, 9 ft.lb).
