- Q: How to remove the Hood Release Cable Assembly on 2010 Scion xB?A: In order to install/uninstall the Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly, one has to remove the front wheel and the front wheel opening extension pad. Next, take off the front side mudguard, fender liner, radiator cover and water hose clamp bracket. Lastly, loosen the screw in the hood lock assembly, unplug the Hood Release Cable and remove the cable out of the engine compartment.
