    Follow this procedure for vacuum switching valve installation: start by joining the valve to No. 1 air cleaner hose then link it with No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose and ending with No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose. After that, place the wire harness clamp and attach the No. 1 Canister Purge Valve connector.

    You must start servicing and repairing the Canister Purge Valve of the 2AZ-FE emission control system by removing the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly. The service and repair of the Canister Purge Valve on the 2AZ-FE system requires disconnecting the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly connector together with separating the wire harness clamp and disconnecting both the No. 1 and No. 2 fuel vapor feed hoses. The purge No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly should be removed from the air cleaner hose as the last step.
