Control Valve

Service and repair of the Heater Control Valve begins with draining engine coolant from the radiator but does not require total coolant removal. The service process starts by disconnecting the control cable from the water valve followed by control cable adjustment when reinstalling. Apply pliers to handle hose clips claws then move the clips down the hoses prior to disconnecting them. When installing the heater radiator pipe put the water hose up to its second ridge and position the hose clip according to instructions on the water valve pipe. The installation process of this device includes following the reverse order to remove the bolt and water valve while reversing all previous steps during removal.

Ensure the water hose is pushed onto the heater radiator pipe up to the second ridge and onto the water valve pipe until it touches the body of the water valve.

Connect the control cable and lock the clamp while lightly pushing the outer cable in the direction indicated in the illustration.

Ensure to lock the clamp while lightly pushing the outer cable in the indicated direction.
