The service and repair process of the front heater unit starts with cooling unit removal while draining engine coolant from the radiator but keeping enough coolant remaining in the system. Use pliers to grip the claw of the hose clips and pull them down the hose before finally detaching the water hoses from the heater radiator pipes. Push the water hose onto the heater radiator pipe until reaching the second ridge then position the clip according to the provided illustration. Put on gloves then eliminate the instrument panel with reinforcement before moving on to defroster nozzle together with register duct and finally taking out the heater unit. To access the heater unit on auto A/C vehicles consumers need to separate three components: disconnect the mode control servomotor connector and aspirator hose from the room temperature sensor and water valve control cable before unfastening the two retaining nuts. The sequence for heater unit assembly follows the opposite steps taken during removal.

Installation follows the reverse order of removal.

Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor by pulling off the clamp and extracting the sensor.

Remove the front seats and the center console box, then slide the floor carpet backward.

Remove the heater radiator by first taking off the wire harness clamps, then removing the 4 screws and 5 clips.
