Service and repair of the Keyless Entry Transmitter requires you to extract the transmitter battery with caution while using either a coin shape object or equivalent to separate the transmitter case gently. Handle the lithium battery gently until you extract it while avoiding contact of your fingers with the terminals and all forms of battery prying and keeping your hands dry to prevent battery rust. Caution must be taken to avoid both touching and moving the internal parts because it could lead to a malfunction. Put the positive (+) part of your new lithium battery at the top facing correctly before insertion while you maintain proper alignment of the positive and negative ends but be watchful about bending the battery electrode during the procedure. As the last step before closing the transmitter case ensure the interior remains both dust-free and oil-free.

Keep the interior of the transmitter case free of dust and oil before securely closing the case.
