Cruise Switch

The replacement process of the cruise control switch starts by disconnecting the battery negative terminal. Proceed by removing the steering wheel cover lower No.2 before continuing to remove steering wheel cover lower No.3 if the wheel lacks a switch integrated into the pad area (4 spoke design). The replacement of the cruise control switch starts with removing both the cover that protects the steering pad connector and the lower steering wheel cover No.3 when the wheel has this feature (3 spoke steering wheel assembly). With front wheels oriented directly forward you must remove the horn button assembly before taking off the steering wheel assembly using Special Service Tool: 09950-50013 (09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05020, 09954-05021). Remove two screws and steering wheel damper on the 4 spoke steering wheel assembly before proceeding toward the removal of the steering wheel boss cover lower through 3 screws and two claws detachment. Cruise control main switch assembly needs removal after the removal of its 2 screws. When working on the 3 spoke steering wheel assembly customers must first detach the 3 screws before turning the wheel around for removal of the 3 screws along with the cruise control main switch assembly. Separate all wiring pins from the cruise control main switch assembly except for the main switch assembly and remove them from the connector. First center the spiral cable followed by steering wheel assembly installation then inspect the wheel center point along with the horn assembly before installing both components and checking the SRS warning light functions.

Remove the Steering Wheel Cover Lower No.2 and Steering Wheel Cover Lower No.3, followed by the Horn Button Assembly.

Remove the steering wheel cover lower No.2 and then remove the steering wheel cover lower No.3.
