Coil Spring, Front

Installation of the front shock absorber coil spring starts with positioning the strut mounting bearing onto the coil spring seat upper through the use of a brass bar and press until secure attachment. Special Service Tools: 09727-30021, 09727-00010, 09727-00021, and 09727-00031 should be used to compress the coil spring while omitting impact wrenches to safeguard the equipment. Position the coil spring on the shock absorber where its smaller diameter end faces upward and lower end enters the absorber lower seat gap. Place the front coil spring upper insulator and then use the spring bumper by lining it up with the air discharge groove and rib portion of the coil spring seat upper. The coil spring seat upper, together with the strut mounting bearing and spring bumper, should be placed onto the shock absorber. Clamp a new nut against the front shock absorber front support while using the Special Service Tool before removing it. Use a socket hexagon wrench 6 to secure the shock absorber rod then tighten the nut to 33 Nm (340 kgf-cm, 25 ft-lbf). Install the front suspension support sub-assembly as the last step.

Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the brake tube from the rear LH flexible hose and remove the clip to disconnect the hose from the axle beam.

Use a screwdriver to remove the claw of the connector lock and disconnect the connector, taking care not to damage the wire by leaving the connector cover intact.
