Spoiler Assembly, Red, Rear

The replacement process for the rear spoiler begins by removing 2 grommets together with 2 bolts before separating the spoiler and disconnecting its center stop lamp connector. You should remove the center stop lamp assembly next following the removal of its two bolts. A drill with a tip under Dia 4 mm (0.16 in.) should be used on rear spoiler clip No.1 and a tape should be applied to the drill tip at 5 mm (0.20 in.) to avoid excessive drilling penetration. Hook the drill's tip onto the rivet before you cut its flanges and extract the rivet while taking caution against the hotness of the cut rivet. The back door panel requires removal of its two spoiler clips after drilling is complete. You must strike waterproof rivets of 4 millimeters diameter into the body panel at each of rear spoiler clip attachment points by using an air riveter with corresponding nose piece. To prevent mandrel bending place the rivet at a right angle to its base. Fasten the center stop lamp assembly using two bolts which require torquing at 2.5 N.m (25 kgf.cm, 22 in.lbf). Instal the spoiler by connecting its center stop lamp connector and using two bolts with grommets while tightening to 7.0 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 62 in.lbf).

Connect the center stop lamp connector and install the spoiler with the 2 bolts and 2 grommets, torquing to 7.0 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 62 in.lbf).
