The vehicle body and spoiler should be heated using a heat light before removal but avoid overheating both parts. You should disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery should rest for no less than 90 seconds which avoids triggering the Air Bag systems and seat belt pretensioners. The back door center garnish must be removed before the process of removing the rear spoiler starts by unscrewing the 3 bolts and unclipping the 3 clips then disconnecting the center stop light connector. You can remove the center stop light following the removal of its two mounting screws. During installation warm the vehicle body together with the spoiler using a heat light but avoid overheating them. First attach the center stop light using its two screws before cleaning the vehicle body and washing the spoiler when keeping it for reuse. First, attach the center stop light connector before putting on the spoiler through 3 clips. Secure the bolts with 3 torques to 7.5 N.m (76 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf). Reinstall the back door center garnish followed by attaching the cable to the negative battery terminal.

Remove the rear spoiler by taking out the 3 bolts and 3 clips, followed by disconnecting the center stop light connector.
