The disposal of 2WD rear shock absorbers requires complete piston rod extension for drilling a 25mm (0.98 in.) hole in area B according to illustration with a drill. This hole enables gas discharge in both zones. Both 4WD and 2WD require the same procedure for discharging gas from the shock absorber piston rod. Fully extend the piston rod and drill a hole into area B using a 25 mm (0.98 in.) drill tip measurement for both A and B. Maintain safety precautions by using appropriate equipment when drilling due to the gas being clear, scentless and nontoxic.

Remove the front suspension support sub-assembly, front suspension support bearing, front coil spring upper seat, front coil spring upper insulator, front coil spring, front spring bumper, and front coil spring lower insulator.

Use a bolt (torque to 19 Nm) for both configurations, ensuring no twisting occurs.
