The first step to remove the headlamp dimmer switch entails disconnecting the negative battery cable followed by a minimum 90-second wait time to stop an Air Bag deployment. The front wheels need to be directed straight forward. Start by disconnecting the No. 2 steering wheel lower cover and then proceed to remove the No. 3 steering wheel lower cover. To proceed you must remove the steering wheel assembly while first finishing the horn button assembly. Detach the lower steering column cover and follow it with removal of the upper steering column cover. Alleviate first the spiral cable sub-assembly and next remove the windshield wiper switch assembly. You can take out the headlight dimmer switch assembly after disconnecting the connector while using your fingers to unfasten each of the 2 claws.

The installation requires users to position the headlight dimmer switch assembly through its 2 clamps while following the illustrated steps before fastening it with the clamp and connecting the connector. Mount the windshield wiper switch assembly after it followed the spiral cable sub-assembly installation. Install the steering column upper cover immediately after which you should add the steering column lower cover. A proper alignment of the spiral cable needs to occur before you can install the steering wheel assembly. The horn button assembly must be checked at its center point before installation. Affix the cable to the negative battery terminal while applying torque at 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf). Proceed with the inspection of SRS warning light after installing both No. 3 and No. 2 steering wheel lower covers.

Secure it with the clamp and reconnect the connector.

Ensure the front wheels are facing straight ahead.

Reinstall the windshield wiper switch assembly, spiral cable sub-assembly, and both steering column covers, ensuring the spiral cable is centered.

Follow airbag system precautions and disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal, waiting at least 90 seconds to prevent airbag deployment.
