Heating the vehicle body and name plate with a heat light is the first step before beginning body emblem removal. The heating process should stop before excessive heating occurs. Protective tape should cover the back door name plate before using a proper moulding remover to detach the double-sided tape and remove the name plate from the vehicle body. The procedure should be repeated for each name plate starting with the No. 7 luggage compartment door and continuing with the No. 3 and No. 2 doors while using protective tape and moldings removers carefully to protect the vehicle body.

Heat the body of the vehicle along with its name plate using a heat light while avoiding excessive temperature levels on both components. Protective tape should be applied first on the back door name plate before you use a moulding remover to separate the double-sided tape and extract the plate with extreme caution towards the vehicle body. The name plate operation for the No. 7 luggage compartment door requires the use of protective tape as well as a moulding remover to remove double-sided tape from all components without harming the vehicle body.

Reinstall the back-up light assemblies LH and RH.

First, heat the vehicle body and the name plate using a heat light, ensuring not to overheat them.
