Before applying the name plate users must use an infrared lamp or equivalent source to heat the double-sided tape on the body until it achieves a temperature range of 40 to 60 degrees C for one to two minutes. A clean cloth should be used to remove the excess tape completely because inadequate cleaning prevents proper name plate attachment. The first step requires a degreasing agent to clean the body installation area followed by correct placement of the name plate. The name plate installation must take place when the working space temperatures reach 20 degrees C. Heating the body installation zone to 20 to 30 degrees C becomes necessary when temperatures are lower than 20 degrees C.

A heat light should replace excessive heat when removing vehicle emblems and name plates from the body because it achieves standard heating levels. The first step includes removing the No. 1 back door emblem assembly by applying protective tape around both sides and using piano wire between body and emblem to secure wooden handles on either end to pull off adhesive securing the emblem. Use extreme caution when you remove both the emblem and its mounting points because you plan to reuse them. The next step requires using protective tape to wrap the back door name plate before running a piano wire between the vehicle body and plate while tying handles to the wire ends to scrape off the double-sided tape. Apply the same caution while removing the double-sided tape because it could hurt both the name plate and the vehicle body. The process to handle the No. 1 back door emblem matches the steps used earlier in this procedure. For the removal of the No. 4 back door name plate (for 4WD) complete the procedure by applying protective tape then inserting a piano wire, tying handles to the ends and pulling wire to detach the name plate with the understanding that it may stay on for reinstallation.

Heat the vehicle body and name plate, remove the peeling paper from the name plate, and ensure the exposed adhesive is free from foreign matter before installing it according to the specified measurements.
