    Q:
How to remove and replace the radiator on Scion xB? Posted by Customer
    A:
The refrigeration system requires a complete evacuation of gas before radiator service begins. Begin by taking off the front bumper cover followed by the radiator grille apparatus and then the No. 1 radiator grille garnish. Begin by draining engine coolant before proceeding to break the battery connection through terminal separation and removing the carriage bolt and loose nut to detach the holder and finally remove the insulator battery and tray. The separation process for the No. 1 water hose clamp bracket begins with disconnecting two water hoses followed by removing two bolts. Remove the hood lock control cable assembly by first disassembling it from the hood lock hardware but disregarding its retaining clamp. To remove the hood lock support sub-assembly disconnect the two hone connectors followed by removing the two bolts. Detach the inlet radiator hose after unclamping the heated oxygen sensor wire harness and proceed by disconnecting the outlet radiator hose. Begin fan shroud No. 2 removal by first removing the radiator support cushions before disconnecting each of the two fan motor connectors and using the two bolts to remove the fan shroud. The condenser becomes removable after separating the discharge hose sub-assembly from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly. Vehicle owners should start by removing the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the radiator before disconnecting the two oil cooler hoses from automatic transaxle vehicles when installing their radiator assembly that will be used in the vehicle. To complete the operation separate the inlet radiator hose tube clamp from the fan shroud then take away the outlet radiator hose from the radiator while using the two bolts to eliminate the fan shroud.
