Wiper Motor

The rear wiper motor and bracket assembly needs to be attached with three bolts while tightening them to 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) and connecting the connector. Apply MP grease all over the wiper motor grommet lip while keeping the hole open and filling both its grooves with grease before installing it facing upward. Before using the rear wiper arm and blade assembly it is important to stop the wiper motor at automatic stop position and then clean the wiper arm serrations. Wire brush cleaning should be applied to wiper pivot serrations before using rear wiper motor and bracket assembly. After installing the rear wiper blade assembly to the arm with its nut tightened to 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf), activate the wiper to spray washer fluid on the back door glass and check if it operates normally without touching the body of the vehicle. Introduce the wiper arm head cap by using the four installers; afterward install the back door panel trim assembly.

Disconnect the connector and remove the 3 bolts to take out the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.
