Wiper Motor, Rear

Start by detaching the rear wiper arm cover before you remove the rear wiper arm assembly by unfastening its nut. The process starts with taking off the rear wiper motor grommet followed by removing both the assist strap hole cover and assist strap assembly using a bolt as the uninstallation method. A clip remover tool can be used to disengage the 16 vehicle clips connected to the back door trim panel assembly. Route next to the rear wiper motor assembly by disconnecting its connector and taking away the 3 bolts. To install the motor you need to fasten the 3 bolts to the assembly while making sure the torque reaches 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) before restoring the connector. Apply the rear wiper motor grommet with its facing position upward then use a brush wire to clean the rear wiper pivot serration. Install the rear wiper arm to the specified location after you stop the rear wiper motor assembly at its automatic stop position while keeping torque at 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf). You need to secure the nut by keeping your hand on the arm hinge. You should operate the rear wiper through its movement as you apply water with washer fluid to the rear window to verify proper wiping performance without rear wiper contact with any part of the vehicle.

Torque to 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf).

Engage the rubber pin meshing, secure it with 2 bolts at a torque of 7.0 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 61 in.lbf), and reconnect the connector.

Remove the rear wiper arm and blade assembly by taking off the nut.

Disconnect the connector and remove the three bolts.
