Wiper Motor, Rear

You should start by applying MP grease to the entire surface of the wiper motor grommet lip so that both the hole stays open and the grooves become filled with the grease. Position the rear wiper motor grommet so that its mark will face upward. The rear wiper motor should be installed with 3 bolts that need to be torqued to 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) strength followed by connector and clamp connection. To install the rear wiper blade assembly first remove metal powder from the wiper arm serrations using a round file before cleaning the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush while operating the wiper until the windshield wiper motor reaches automatic stop. The rear wiper arm needs to be installed in its proper location with the nut which requires a torque setting of 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) after ensuring the wiper arm rests on the linear wiper step before tightening the nut while maintaining the arm hinge in a downwards position. Insert the specified claw mechanism to put on the rear wiper head cap. Instillation of back door service hole cover requires winding up with back door trim board assembly followed by back door pull strap and back door strap cover after which comes back door side garnish LH and back door side garnish RH and back door center garnish and power back door rod for vehicles with power back door.

Install the back door service hole cover, back door trim board assembly, back door pull strap, back door strap cover, back door side garnish LH, back door side garnish RH, back door center garnish, and the power back door rod if equipped with a power back door.

Disengage the clamp, disconnect the connector, and loosen the 3 bolts to remove the motor.
