Wiper Motor, Rear

You must install the rear wiper motor grommet according to the illustration before proceeding to install the motor unit. Use three bolts to fix the rear wiper motor assembly while tightening them to 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf). After securing the rear wiper motor and bracket with three screws users must connect the connector before installing the junction switch with its supplied nut. Two rear defogger connectors need connection followed by attaching the rear wiper motor & bracket assembly to the shaft cover assembly using two nuts which require a torque setting of 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf). You must use a deep socket wrench with a 24mm size to tighten the packing nut for w/washer at the rear wiper link pivot to a torque level of 7.0 Nm (71 kgf-cm, 62 in-lbf). First use a wire brush to clean wiper arm serrations along with rear wiper pivot serrations and then place the RR wiper arm & blade assembly in position while securing it with a nut at 5.5 Nm torque (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf). While tightening the nut it is necessary to maintain pressure on the arm hinge manually. Operating the wiper under conditions of water spray and washer fluid application will allow you to verify both correct operation and clearance from any body parts.

Torque to 21 N.m (214 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf), ensuring to hold down the arm hinge while fastening.

Begin by removing the rear wiper arm cover, followed by the nut and the rear wiper arm & blade assembly.

Remove the cowl top ventilator louver RH by taking out the clip and disengaging the 5 claws.

Remove the nut to detach the front wiper arm LH.

Remove the rear wiper arm assembly by taking off the rear wiper arm cover and then removing the nut and rear wiper arm.

Install the w/washer packing nut at a torque of 7.0 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 62 in.lbf).
