Lock Assembly, Rear

The first step to remove the luggage compartment door lock assembly requires removing the luggage compartment door cover. The procedure requires disconnecting the rod followed by raising the luggage compartment door lock cover then removing the luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly and finally disconnecting the connector and extracting the 2 bolts alongside the luggage compartment door lock assembly. Vehicles with Smart Key System require disconnecting the rod as well as disconnecting the connector while removing the 2 bolts to eliminate the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

Begin installation of the rear door lock components by first putting in both configurations of the rear door inside locking cable assembly after which install the rear door lock remote control cable assembly while engaging the claw if the power door lock exists. You should install the rear door lock remote control cable assembly and ensure the claw gets engaged in case of power door lock existence. The installation process for rear door lock assembly without power door lock requires MP grease application to sliding parts followed by insertion of the assembly into rear door outside handle release plate and panel attachment where the plate makes a stable connection point before using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30) to install the assembly with three screws tightened to 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf). To reuse a power door lock-equipped rear door lock assembly users must replace its door lock wiring harness seal with a fresh one before applying MP grease and installing the new seal while following previous installation procedures which include connecting the connector. Proceed to install the rear door glass run, rear door glass sub-assembly, rear door quarter window glass, rear door window division bar sub-assembly, rear door Weather Strip, rear door service hole cover, door trim bracket, rear door inner glass Weather Strip, rear door inside handle sub-assembly, rear door trim board sub-assembly, rear door armrest upper base panel for both configurations, rear door inside handle bezel, and rear door window regulator handle assembly for the non-power window version.

Attack the installation of the luggage compartment door lock assembly by first fastening it with 2 bolts at 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf). The installation requires connector attachment followed by raising the visible luggage compartment door lock cover then connecting the cable assembly. To complete the process return the cover to its original location then attach the rod following the depicted arrangement. Start by establishing the installation with the Smart Key System through using two bolts at the required torque followed by connector connection and rod installation per the provided illustration. Install the luggage compartment door cover as the final step.

Install the front door lock remote control cable assembly for both configurations.
