The Hood Cable Assembly removal requires the Engine Under Cover Assembly (for 2GR-FE) to be removed first and then the No. 1 Engine Under Cover. The service process begins with the removal of Front Fender Moulding Sub-Assembly LH then Front Fender Liner LH. Drain the Cool Air Intake Duct Seal as well as the Radiator Grille before proceeding. The Hood Assembly removal process without the Engine Hood Courtesy Switch needs you to remove the hood lock nut cap first followed by the bolt extraction and disconnecting the control cable and completing the disassembly. The procedure for Hood Assembly removal requires disconnecting the connector and hood lock nut cap replacement while removing the 3 bolts and disconnecting the hood cable to take out the entire assembly when the Engine Hood Courtesy Switch is present. The final step requires disconnecting the Hood Cable Assembly by eliminating its contact with the hood lock control lever. Then use a screwdriver on the clamps after taping its tip before removing the cable from the engine compartment.

Inspect the hood sub-assembly, adjust as necessary, and proceed to install the radiator grille, cool air intake duct seal, front fender liner LH, front fender moulding sub-assembly LH, No. 1 engine under cover, and the engine under cover assembly for 2GR-FE.

Take off the Front Fender Moulding Sub-Assembly LH and the Front Fender Liner LH.
