Leaf Spring, Driver Side

Install 2 new bushings using Special Service Tool: 09710-28012 (09710-07062), 09710-30041 09710-03211) and a press.

Align the leaf spring holes and secure the leaves in a vise, then torque to 44 Nm (450 kgf-cm, 33 ft. lbs.).

Support the body with safety stands by jacking it up and lowering the axle housing until the leaf spring tension is free.

Take off the nut, washer, and bolt, and then remove the 2 nuts, washers, bolts, shackle, and leaf spring.

Bend to open the spring clips and pry up the 2 spring clips with a chisel and hammer, then remove the center bolt and nut while holding the spring in a vise. Replace the spring clip by drilling off the head of the rivet and driving it out, then install a new rivet and secure it with a press. Reinstall the spring center bolt and nut, aligning the leaf spring holes and securing the leaves in a vise, and torque to 44 Nm (450 kgf-cm, 33 ft. lbs.). Bend the spring clips back into position with a hammer.

Begin by securing the shackle and leaf spring using 3 bolts, washers, and nuts, ensuring a torque of 170 Nm (1,735 kgf-cm, 125 ft. lbs.) after stabilizing the suspension.

Attach the shackle and leaf spring with 3 bolts, washers, and nuts, torquing to 170 Nm (1,735 kgf-cm, 125 ft. lbs.) after stabilizing the suspension.
