Bend to open the spring clips and pry up the 2 spring clips with a chisel and hammer, then remove the center bolt and nut while holding the spring in a vise. Replace the spring clip by drilling off the head of the rivet and driving it out, then install a new rivet and secure it with a press. Reinstall the spring center bolt and nut, aligning the leaf spring holes and securing the leaves in a vise, and torque to 44 Nm (450 kgf-cm, 33 ft. lbs.). Bend the spring clips back into position with a hammer.

Remove the 4 U-bolt mounting nuts and washers, followed by the spring seat and 2 U-bolts, and finally the spring bumper.

Install the rear wheel, torquing to 110 Nm (1,150 kgf-cm, 81 ft. lbs.), and remove the safety stands.

Cut both bushing tabs with a saw, then use Special Service Tool: 09950-60010 (09951-00350) 09950-70010 (09951-07150) and a press to press out the inner tubes and rubber parts of the bushings, followed by tapping out the outer tubes with a chisel and hammer.
