Flex Hose, Passenger Side

During installation of the rear brake flexible hose start by using a new gasket and attaching the flexible hose to the disc brake cylinder through the union bolt with a tightness setting of 30 Nm (310 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf). The flexible hose installation requires placement into the lock hole of the cylinder then secure locking. Fit the flexible hose on the brake tube's connecting point labeled as "A" and fasten a new clip described by a label of "B". Install the flexible hose to the brake tube (labeled A) using a 10 mm union nut wrench while you maintain the hose position with a wrench applying 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) torque when the union nut wrench is not present and 14 Nm (145 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) torque with the tool in use with a 300 mm (11.8 in.) torque wrench and both tools parallel to each other. Pay attention when attaching the brake tube because avoiding bending and damage and stopping any foreign objects from entering the tube connection are vital. The brake fluid reservoir requires filling before the brake master cylinder needs air bleeding followed by the brake line then completing the process by releasing air from the ABS and traction actuator assembly. Test the brake fluid level by visiting the reservoir then verify no fluid leaks exist before putting on the rear wheel while tightening it to 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf).

Apply a torque of 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) without the union nut wrench or 14 Nm (145 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) with it.
