Flex Hose, Rear Driver Side

Before installing the rear brake flexible hose check that left and right hoses cannot be swapped by verifying the part number. Hook up previously used hoses only if you inspect and verify their identification marks which were in place before the separation. Initiate installation of the rear flexible hose by mounting it to the disc brake cylinder assembly through a new union bolt with gasket followed by torquing to 29 Nm (300 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf) and ensuring correct installation of the hose lock into the lock hole. Lastly install the rear flexible hose onto the bracket by using a new clip which should reach its maximum extent. A union nut wrench should mount the brake line toward the rear brake flexible hose when a second wrench holds the flexible hose at 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf). Do not allow damage to the brake line or kinking through improper use and keep all parts free of twists that block other components and protect the brake line from outside debris. When combining union nut wrenches with torque wrenches it becomes necessary to determine the required torque values first. Following installation of the rear flexible hose to the absorber bracket use a bolt to torque it at 19 Nm (192 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf). The installation process includes fluid addition to the reservoir followed by brake line bleeding before leak inspection and reservoir fluid level assessment and completion with proper wheel installation at 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf).

Remove the clip and the bolt to detach the rear flexible hose from the absorber bracket.
