    The engine hood dismantling process requires removal of the radiator grille followed by detachment of the No. 2 hood lock release lever protector. The removal process starts with the hood lock assembly which requires separating the hood lock control cable assembly while removing 3 bolts from their respective places. First remove the hood support along with the grommet afterward use a clip remover to detach the 2 claws which allows removal of the hood stay holder. The operation starts with removing the washer nozzle sub-assembly through disconnecting the washer hose and releasing the 2 claws. The hood lock control cable protector sub-assembly needs to be removed through a process that includes taking off two nuts. With the help of a tool remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly by disconnecting the hood lock control cable assembly while releasing two claws. Leaving the string inside the wire harness grommet for later installation, tie down the hood lock control cable assembly tip with string which should exceed cable length.

Begin by attaching one hood stay holder with the 2 claws and then put in the grommet and hood support in sequence. Mount the hood lock control cable assembly to the vehicle after connecting it through 3 bolts that should be tightened to 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf). The last installation steps include positioning of both the No. 2 hood lock release lever protector and the radiator grille.
