Two new stoppers need to be installed onto the vehicle body prior to starting windshield glass installation. Primer G application to the glass which will receive the No. 2 windshield glass stopper must dry for 3 minutes or more before installing 2 new stoppers to the glass surface. Before installing the windshield outside moulding remove the peeling paper from the molding while the Primer G coating remains dry for at least 3 minutes. Install the adhesive dam after applying Principle G to the glass surface and allowing it to dry by omitting the top glass section above the notches. When installing the front inner window moulding cover on the left-hand side apply Primer G to the glass first before proceeding with installation. Suction cups should position the windshield glass in a smooth manner while new glass requires matchmarks for installation. Expose the vehicle body section to Primer M at the same time as applying Primer G to the glass contact surface before both materials have time to dry. A primer coat of Primer G is applied on the windshield outside moulding followed by application of Toyota Genuine Windshield Glass Adhesive or equivalent to the glass before installing the glass to the vehicle body while maintaining matchmark alignment and gentle pressure along the rim. The tape used for glass protection should stay affixed until the adhesive sets while windscreen deicer connection should be installed if present. Carry out a leak test once the adhesive solidifies before sealing leaks with auto glass sealer. Apply 3M DP-105 or equivalent adhesive to new clips before installing the roof drip side finish moulding clip on the body by priming the surface first and securely attaching the clips. In addition the installation process requires placing the roof headlining back to its original position followed by inner rear view mirror assembly installation along with inner rear view mirror stay holder cover and center visor assemblies and visor holder and visor assemblies and visor bracket cover and map light assembly and front pillar garnishes and front assist grip sub-assembly. After you finish with the installation of front wiper arms LH and RH you need to complete the job by reattaching the negative battery terminal and installing the windshield outside moulding LH and RH and cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly along with front fender main seals and upper radiator support seal.

Remove the No. 2 windshield glass stoppers and adhesive dam with a scraper, then remove the front inner window moulding cover (LH) using a scraper.

Begin by installing 2 new stoppers to the vehicle body.
